About Valley of Flowers Trek

Considered one of the most beautiful monsoon treks of Uttarakhand, the Valley of Flowers trek is located at an elevation of 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level in Bhyundar Valley, which is spread over an area of 87.50 sq km with endemic alpine flowers and a variety of flora. The trek starts from Govind Ghat and offers a breathtaking view of lush green landscapes and a colorful carpet of flowers.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01- Drive From Haridwar to Joshimath (245kms, 8-9hr journey)

From our meeting point at Haridwar, we drive to our first trekking point Joshimath. It is around 245 km from Haridwar and takes 8-9 hours of journey. The meeting point of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River is at Devprayag. Arrival at Joshimath in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay here.

Day 02- Joshimath to Govindghat (22 kms/1 hrs journey)

Early in the morning, get up and have tea/coffee. After breakfast, move to our next destination, Govindghat. This is the best place for trekking. Explore the sightseeing at this place. Dinner and overnight stay here.

Day 03- Govindghat to Valley of Flower (17kms, 1hr Journey).

Early in the morning get up and have tea/coffee. After breakfast, we move to the site of the trek, that is, “Valley of Flowers”. Govindghat to Valley of Flowers is around 17 km, 1 hr journey.

Find the best and rarest range of flora and fauna here – Brahma Kamal, Campanula, Impatiens, Bistorta, Ligularia, Anaphalis, Saxifrages, Sibbaldia, Geranium, Marsh marigold, Primula, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Morina, Potentilla, Geum, Asters, Lilium, Ranunculus, Corydalis, Dactylorhiza, Cypripedium, Strawberry, Epilobium, Inula, Thermo- psis, Trollius, Codonopsis, Rhododendrons and many more.

After enjoying this beauty, return to the pre-booked hotel at Ghangaria. Dinner and overnight stay here.

Day 04- Ghangaria to Himkund Sahib(3kms).

The next day morning after breakfast get ready for the next trekking point that is- Himkund Sahib. It’s a total of 3kms trek and sees the best here. After visiting here back to the hotel and have dinner and overnight stay here.

Day 05- Ghangaria to Joshimath (17 km).

Next day, after breakfast, return to Joshimath, on the way to Govindghat. You are free to explore today all the sites in the Govindghat to Joshimath area. Check-in at Joshimath Hotel and overnight stay here.

Day 06- Joshimath to Rishikesh Camping.

Next day morning, drive to Rishikesh. Arrival at Camp Majestic. Have a welcome drink and freshen up yourself. One can take an evening walk around the camp. You can enjoy the camp games too like volleyball, cricket and more. Campfire, dinner, and overnight stay here.

Day 07- Rafting and back to Haridwar.

The next day morning, after breakfast, get ready to hit the rapids in the River Ganga. Don’t forget to enjoy cliff jumping and body surfing on the way of rafting. After finishing rafting at Nim beach, change here. Check out the camp.

Back to Haridwar. The tour ends here.

Rafting Booking Cancellation – No money refund on the same day of the tour.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

All reservations are deemed tentative till an advance of 50% payment is received.

The 50% advance payment is to be disbursed within 1 day (24-hour cut-off) of making a reservation.

Balance of 50% at the time of arrival. If the advance payment is not received within the specified time, the reservation stands canceled.

Please note: –

In case of a rafting trip on the day of arrival, the guests are advised to reach camp by 11.30 AM. The last rafting session for the day will start at 1.30 PM. The day rafting trip will be canceled if the arrival is later than 1.00 pm.

We regret we cannot compensate where the performance of our duty is affected by force majeure, any incident which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, anticipate or avoid. Such events may include war, terrorist activity, unexpected government acts, riots, civil strife, natural disaster, border closures, fire, road closures, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, land and air travel, extreme weather conditions, and other similar incidents beyond our capability to manage.

The company follows a no-refund policy. In case of cancellations due to genuine reasons, the amount paid will be adjusted against future trips.

Personal accident Insurance is advisable when booking an adventure tour. Persons not fit for trips due to heart disease, chronic illness, physical handicap, advanced pregnancy, or mental illness are advised not to participate in rigorous travel programs. The insurance should cover death, injury, theft of the client’s personal property, and medical expenses. Activities with greater risk such as White-water rafting and Mountaineering should be covered.

Cancellation Clause:

Prior information of any change in the number of guests or cancellations is mandatory. Camp Majestic reserves the right to levy service/ cancellation charges as per details below (Booking Amount 10% non-refundable)

If the cancellation is made:

– 2 weeks in advance 25% Cancellation charge

– 1 week in advance 50% Cancellation charge

– Less than a week 100% Cancellation charge
